• Workdays: Monday through Friday
• Pay rate: $8.50 per hour
• Pay frequency: weekly

Role Summary

The Janitor will handle general cleaning and upkeep for a designated building area or several client locations. Work assignments may vary depending on customer requirements, so flexibility and the ability to adapt to different cleaning needs are essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep all floor types clean by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming as needed
• Use cleaning chemicals and powered equipment correctly to avoid harming floors or other surfaces
• Service and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and entry areas
• Remove trash and handle disposal properly, including use of a compactor for certain waste
• Wash windows, glass dividers, and mirrors with the right tools and products
• Perform spot cleaning on carpets and support carpet extraction and shampooing work
• Restock paper goods and sanitary items
• Work according to the assigned housekeeping schedule
• Operate heavier cleaning equipment when required, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Carry out other related tasks based on the service scope or customer needs

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, or at least six months of experience in a janitorial role
• Willingness to learn on the job, as training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately
• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work is a plus
• Familiarity with custodial procedures and commercial cleaning standards is advantageous
• Knowledge of floor care methods such as buffing and waxing is helpful
• Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is beneficial
