Role overview
We are hiring a Junior Business Analyst to join a growing team in a remote, full-time capacity from the United Kingdom. This opportunity is suited to recent graduates or professionals at the start of their careers who are interested in business analysis, technology, and improving how work gets done.
What you will do
In this position, you will partner with stakeholders, project teams, and business units to understand business needs, review data, spot opportunities for improvement, and help deliver business and technology projects.
- Collect, record, and evaluate business requirements from different stakeholders.
- Help produce process maps, user stories, and functional requirement documents.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on improving business processes.
- Review business data and prepare reports that support decision-making.
- Take part in project meetings and capture key decisions, actions, and follow-ups.
- Work with technical teams so requirements are interpreted correctly.
- Assist with testing and confirming new systems or process updates.
- Build presentations, reports, and project-related documents.
- Help identify risks, issues, and possible fixes.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Good analytical thinking and a practical approach to solving problems.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
- Capable of working on your own as well as within a team.
- Willingness to learn business analysis methods and tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is an advantage.
- Exposure to Agile or Scrum working methods is preferred.
- Internship, academic project, or placement experience in business analysis or project-based work is desirable.
- Understanding of process mapping tools such as Visio or Lucidchart is helpful.
