Role overview
An environmental software company located just outside Brighton is looking for a Junior Designer with a strong grounding in UX/UI and Figma. This position is aimed at someone at the early stage of their design career who can demonstrate solid digital design capability through a portfolio.
The role spans a mix of digital work, including website, email, and marketing assets, as well as UX/UI design for the company’s product. Graphic design support may also be needed from time to time, so the ideal candidate should be flexible, broad in their design ability, and keen to keep developing professionally. The business offers clear scope for growth and progression.
Because the role requires three days a week in the office, applicants need to be based locally in the Brighton area.
Role requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Figma is essential.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in UX/UI design, or a closely related subject, is preferred.
- Recent graduates with a strong portfolio may be considered.
- Alternatively, candidates with at least 2 years of commercial experience can apply.
- Applicants must live in the Brighton area, as the position is office-based for 3 days each week.
- A portfolio is mandatory, whether it includes client work, personal projects, or university/internship work.
Salary
The salary range for this position is £25,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
