Why This Role Stands Out
This opportunity is designed for someone who wants more than a routine position. You’ll join a collaborative, employee-focused organization that emphasizes professional growth, a welcoming atmosphere, and an inclusive culture. The company also offers strong compensation and a broad range of employee benefits.
Role Summary
As a Junior Product Owner, you will help shape the product vision, roadmap, and delivery backlog for technology-enabled products and customer-facing experiences. Working alongside the Senior Product Owner and development teams, you will translate business needs into requirements, support user research, assist with agile delivery, and strengthen relationships with Customer Care Center team members to better understand operational needs and product opportunities. You will also contribute to product reliability, quality, and availability, and may manage certain product components and user interfaces depending on the product area.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation of new technology-based products and the enhancement of existing ones by clarifying feature requirements and helping prioritize development work through data analysis, stakeholder input, and research.
- As part of a self-organizing development team, expand user stories with the detail needed to achieve the intended end-user experience.
- Help write and carry out user acceptance testing for product releases and work closely with the Senior Product Owner and IT teams to maintain high quality standards.
- Prepare instructions, training material, and stakeholder communications related to product launches and releases, including coordination of agent training plans with the Customer Care Center.
- For products involving user interfaces and user experience, maintain content, settings, and system logic needed for the end-user journey.
- Review defects, assign severity, and help determine whether issues should affect release decisions.
- Coordinate manual customer email campaigns with business partners and provide post-release reporting and insights that support business goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- You must be legally authorized to work in the United States when you apply.
- Relocation support is not available for this role.
- A minimum of 3 years of overall professional experience is required.
- Preferred background includes 3 years each in business/general operations, customer service, and information technology, plus 2 years in marketing and 2 years in vendor management.
- High school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Preferred fields of study include Business Administration and Information Technology.
- Strong capability to balance strategy, execution, and operational ownership in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional or global teams is an advantage.
- Prior exposure to Document Center, Notification Platform, and ECM tools would be helpful.
- Experience with email communication and campaign management platforms is a plus.
Additional Information
This role is connected to product areas that may include operational ownership of user-facing tools and business workflows. The company notes that previous work in IT analysis, customer service, marketing analysis, or research analysis can be a useful foundation for the position.
