Role Purpose

The Project Security Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of security-focused projects and initiatives. The position ensures that physical and digital security systems are smoothly integrated into projects, security protocols are followed, risks are addressed proactively, and all timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements are respected. The role also requires active coordination with stakeholders and vendors.

What You Will Do

  • Help plan, organize, and coordinate security projects in line with business objectives.
  • Partner with the Projects team and security leadership to ensure security enhancements and infrastructure work are completed on schedule.
  • Monitor milestones, deliverables, and timelines to keep execution on track.
  • Support the installation, testing, and readiness of security infrastructure such as CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and perimeter protection.
  • Work with internal teams such as IT, Engineering, and Projects, along with external vendors, to integrate security technologies effectively.
  • Support site teams after implementation so that systems operate as intended and meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality, schedule, and cost expectations are met.
  • Track vendor performance and help resolve delays or other project-related issues.
  • Ensure installations and related technology deployments comply with local regulations and internal standards.
  • Carry out site visits and basic risk reviews to spot vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare regular updates, risk registers, and incident-related reports for the Lead - Security Projects and Vertical Security Head.
  • Monitor project spending, compare actual utilization with approved budgets, and flag variances with suggested corrective measures.
  • Serve as a key contact for the Projects team, site teams, and security vendors.
  • Coordinate with Finance, IT, and Engineering teams to keep project activities aligned.
  • Support the creation of training material and programs for site teams using newly deployed systems.
  • Contribute to process enhancements that improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Maintain complete records of project plans, contracts, and compliance documents for audit readiness.

Internal: Lead - Security Projects, Vertical Security Head, Plant Security Heads, Projects and Engineering Teams, Finance and IT Teams.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. Project management credentials such as PMP or PRINCE2, or security systems certifications like CPP or PSP, will be an added advantage.
