Role Summary
The Licensing Coordinator position is a full-time remote opportunity centered on managing licensing matters for multimedia content, software, and related materials used in trial presentations. The role involves reviewing what licenses are needed, drafting and processing agreement documents, and making sure all activity aligns with legal and contractual obligations. The coordinator will work with internal departments and outside partners to obtain permissions, keep licensing records accurate, and monitor renewal timelines and usage limits. The position also includes answering licensing questions, assisting client service teams with licensing details, and supporting improvements that make the process more efficient and lower compliance risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate licensing needs for multimedia assets, software, and other trial presentation materials.
- Prepare, route, and process license agreements and related documentation.
- Ensure licensing activity remains compliant with applicable legal and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors or partners to secure required permissions.
- Maintain organized and accurate licensing records, including renewal dates and usage restrictions.
- Respond to licensing-related questions from internal stakeholders and client service teams.
- Help refine workflows that improve efficiency and reduce licensing-related risk.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates bring strong people skills and a customer-service mindset, along with the ability to work smoothly with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Clear written and verbal communication is important for handling documentation and answering inquiries. Experience or familiarity with licensing, intellectual property basics, and contract terms is valuable, as are analytical abilities for reviewing agreements and spotting inconsistencies or risks. Strong organization, attention to detail, comfort using office productivity tools, and prior exposure to legal, media, or technology environments are preferred. An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in licensing, contracts, compliance, or legal administration, is desirable.
