Role Overview
This position focuses on ensuring shipment orders are executed accurately and on time each day. The work includes coordinating bookings, working with warehouse and transport partners, preparing shipping paperwork, and supporting customs and trade compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Handle shipment orders received from customers and process them in a timely manner.
- Arrange freight space with designated carriers according to the customer’s carrier routing instructions.
- Prepare pricing for additional services such as warehousing, transportation, and documentation support.
- Coordinate with truck operators to move empty containers from the depot to the customer site for stuffing, then arrange delivery of loaded containers to the port.
- Complete permits and other required applications or declarations.
- Draft letters of credit and final shipping documentation.
- Track shipping paperwork to support cargo clearance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in sea operations is an advantage, though not essential.
- Recent graduates and candidates without direct experience are encouraged to apply.
- Exposure to SAP, logistics systems, and Microsoft Office tools is beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication along with solid coordination abilities.
- Good people skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Comfortable working on your own as well as in a team setting.
Additional Information
The role is based in Singapore and is a full-time, onsite position.
