About the Role

Diehl Defence is seeking a Logistics Manager for their After Sales Support team in Ottobrunn, Bavaria. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, managing the entire lifecycle of after-sales support for technical equipment. You will be responsible for analyzing customer needs, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts for spare parts, testing equipment, simulators, special tool kits, support and ground service equipment, and customer equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for customers, analyzing their requirements, preparing quotations, and negotiating contracts for technical content related to spare parts, testing equipment, simulators, special tool kits, support and ground service equipment, and customer equipment repairs within the After Sales domain.
  • Manage bid processes for repair or spare part requests as a Bid Manager.
  • Oversee project order planning and control, including the creation of project, schedule, and delivery plans, and manage the performance of subcontractors.
  • Assist project management with procurement activities for entire weapon systems in the After Sales sector.

Requirements

  • A completed degree in a technical or business field, or a comparable discipline, is the ideal prerequisite for this position.
  • Several years of experience in Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), Integrated Product Support (IPS), Service Engineering, or Customer Support within either the civilian or military sector.
  • Previous experience supporting military systems and familiarity with military procurement processes or public sector contracting procedures are highly desirable.
  • A proactive approach to customer interaction, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a willingness to travel are essential.
  • A results-oriented and independent work style, coupled with excellent written and spoken German and English proficiency, will complete your profile.
