Role overview
The Logistics Operations Director is a senior leadership position that owns the company’s logistics network, warehousing, and distribution performance. This role is focused on strengthening end-to-end delivery, improving cost control, and building a more resilient and reliable supply chain.
Key responsibilities
- Shape and direct the logistics strategy for warehousing, transportation, distribution, and delivery operations.
- Create and roll out logistics plans, operating procedures, and control measures that support business expansion and dependable service.
- Improve warehouse performance, shipping processes, route design, and overall logistics execution.
- Design and run evaluation processes for suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics partners.
- Manage transportation and logistics spend while raising service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Track logistics KPIs, budget performance, inventory movement, and service standards, then act quickly when performance slips.
- Lead and develop teams to ensure consistent, high-productivity operations.
- Work with sales and market-facing teams to ensure logistics solutions align with customer and business needs.
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to address disruptions and reduce operational risk.
- Present performance results, cost patterns, and improvement ideas to senior executives.
Ideal profile
- Deep senior-level background in logistics operations, supply chain, warehouse leadership, distribution, or transportation management, with 15+ years of experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of logistics systems, ERP and WMS platforms, KPI tracking, route planning, and cost management.
- Demonstrated success in improving delivery performance, lowering logistics costs, and scaling operations.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing third-party logistics providers.
- Strong ability in data analysis, planning, communication, and execution.
- Exposure to cross-border logistics, overseas warehousing, or international trade is a plus.

- Maintain strong on-time delivery and customer service levels.
- Keep logistics cost per shipment and budget variance under control.
- Improve warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, and stock turnover.
- Ensure dependable carrier and 3PL performance.
