Role overview
Arla Foods is hiring a Logistics Team Leader in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The position focuses on running daily warehouse and logistics activities, guiding the team, and ensuring smooth stock movement, documentation, quality, and safety in line with company standards and local regulations.
Core responsibilities
- Support day-to-day warehouse operations as a flexible team player, complete assigned tasks reliably, and escalate issues to the manager without delay.
- Follow warehouse SOPs for inbound and outbound flows, warehouse handling, and inventory control.
- Plan and carry out the daily operational schedule within the agreed limits and priorities.
- Manage inventory, handle goods, maintain accurate warehouse records, and ensure correct storage and stock distribution.
- Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners while staying aligned with customer needs.
- Work closely with planners, sales, and commercial operations to help ensure on-time order delivery.
- Prepare and hand over all required delivery paperwork to drivers before departure, including route plans, delivery notes, invoices, RTV documents, Bayan, Ajeer documents, and related instructions.
- Receive incoming documents and respond to complaints or queries related to sales.
- Ensure the department follows Arla Foods’ policies, standards, and all applicable local laws.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace with a strong safety mindset.
- Maintain focus on quality and food safety in the area of responsibility.
- Oversee the upkeep of the warehouse, machinery, material handling equipment, trucks, and related assets.
- Support Arla’s sustainability initiatives within the role.
- Use data and digital tools to support decision-making and adapt to digital transformation.
- Develop team capability by coaching and enabling team members in line with the company’s leadership and values.

Experience and education
A relevant vocational or skilled education in logistics, warehousing, or an equivalent field is required. The role calls for more than 2 years of experience handling goods, preferably within food products. A basic understanding of warehouse machinery, equipment, and fleet is important, along with the ability to coordinate maintenance with the relevant functions. Intermediate English and IT skills are needed, including working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook. Basic Power BI knowledge and intermediate SAP application skills are also expected, covering EWM, ERP (ECC), BW reports, and RFUI.
