Role Purpose
The Line Manager for Module Production will own the full module production line, ensuring smooth operations, high output, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. The position focuses on production planning, resource optimization, and continuous improvement while keeping performance aligned with business objectives.
Safety
The role requires active monitoring of the shop floor to spot near misses and unsafe behavior early, so corrective action can be taken to avoid serious incidents and first-aid cases.
Responsibilities
- Maintain 100% PPE usage across the workforce and reinforce a safe work culture.
- Align MSEL module output with budgeted production targets by using resources effectively and reducing process variation.
- Ensure stringer availability so OEE goals are achieved and equipment uptime remains high.
- Manage the conversion process from G2TBS to G2G with minimal material loss while meeting throughput targets.
- Bring down pre-lamination rework and R-grade issues in MSEL modules through process control and corrective actions.
- Use CAPA measures to lower customer complaints and keep AWMS scores above the target level.
- Cut BOM wastage in POE/EPE and reduce back sheet waste in the G2TBS pattern to control material cost.
- Work toward lowering E-grade defects on the module line within the required timeline.
- Complete assigned Quality Circle projects on schedule to eliminate inefficiencies and support continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with TNI and Soft Skill/E-vidyalaya training requirements and provide timely feedback for development and performance improvement.
Key Stakeholders
Internal: Production team, shift engineers, and quality assurance team.
External: Equipment suppliers, safety inspectors, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
A B.Tech or diploma in engineering or production management is required. A BE/B.Tech degree is preferred.
Experience
Applicants should have 10 to 12 years of experience in production management or supervisory positions, with a strong background in quality control and operational efficiency.
