Role Overview

This position is responsible for leading production operations for NPD and ensuring efficient plant performance, reliable dispatch coordination, strong cost control, and consistent compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multipurpose batch plant operations, specifically for specialty chemicals.
  • Plan production for NPD, including raw material and packing material planning, along with inventory control.
  • Track daily stock movement and yield performance.
  • Work with logistics teams to manage dispatches for NPD products.
  • Improve plant utilization and drive OEE above 90% while reducing and standardizing batch cycle time.
  • Handle contract manufacturing activities and audit partner facilities.
  • Monitor manufacturing and production costs and take actions to reduce expenditure.
  • Allocate manpower effectively and ensure efficient use of available resources.
  • Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System and arrange training for team members as needed.
  • Support internal audits, identify internal and external issues, and contribute to risk assessment.
  • Set and execute functional goals for quality, safety, and environment in alignment with management targets.
  • Resolve process and quality deviations in day-to-day operations.
  • Work to reduce internal quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Perform structured root cause analysis and implement CAPA with periodic follow-up.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to execute preventive and shutdown maintenance smoothly.
  • Support and train teams for scale-up of NPD production at MPBP and Wax Ester plants with R&D coordination.
  • Review monthly production, dispatch, capacity use, productivity, yield, utilities, quality concerns, complaint trends, waste, safety performance, and related metrics.
  • Coordinate with purchase, engineering services, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery as planned.

Education

B.Tech in Chemical Engineering is required.
