Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical)

Role Overview

This position is for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer based in Singapore, where you will help support CNC machine assembly and improve production processes across the factory. The role involves hands-on engineering support, process control, tooling design, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to strengthen quality, efficiency, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing engineering support for the CNC machinery assembly line.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly methods.
• Assist with root-cause investigation and cost-saving efforts through value engineering initiatives.
• Support validation work for manufacturing processes and related activities.
• Create and develop fixtures and tooling needed for production use.
• Maintain BOM data and process routing records in SAP.
• Draft process manuals and check sheets for shop-floor use.
• Help drive improvements in key manufacturing metrics such as quality, waste reduction, and efficiency.
• Ensure procedures and systems remain aligned with ISO standards, regulatory expectations, and housekeeping requirements.
• Coordinate and execute activities with other departments to achieve shared objectives.
• Carry out design and development engineering tasks connected to equipment and plant/facility layout planning.
• Support new product introduction activities and product transfer projects to China and India.
• Comply with workplace safety and health systems, safe work procedures, and site safety rules.

Requirements

• A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with SolidWorks or other 3D design tools.
• Comfortable using computers and workplace software tools.
• Experience with SAP will be considered an added advantage.
• Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings.
