Job Summary
We are looking for a precise and insight-driven Market Surveillance Analyst to support our team. In this position, you will review market behavior, spot unusual activity, study trends and patterns, and help ensure alignment with regulatory obligations. The role calls for strong analytical judgment, careful attention to detail, and the ability to turn market information into practical recommendations that support better decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Track market activity to detect unusual behavior, irregular trends, or possible misconduct.
- Examine trading data, market movements, and sector patterns using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
- Build analytical reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Investigate questionable market events and record the outcomes clearly.
- Help deploy and enhance market surveillance processes and monitoring tools.
- Work with internal teams to support compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls.
- Keep complete and accurate documentation of surveillance reviews and investigation results.
- Suggest improvements to monitoring methods, control processes, and risk-detection techniques.
- Remain informed about market shifts, rule changes, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a similar discipline.
- Between 3 and 8 years of experience in market surveillance, market analysis, compliance, financial services, regulatory work, or another related analytical function.
- Strong ability to analyze information and think critically.
- Hands-on experience working with large data sets and reporting solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL will be considered an advantage.
- Strong capability in writing reports and delivering presentations.
- Strong English communication skills; Arabic will be an added advantage.
- A high standard of integrity, precision, and attention to detail.
