About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is seeking a Mason to join its Engineering & Facilities team at the West Bay Lagoon property in Doha, Qatar. This is a full-time, non-management position based onsite. The hotel is a luxury resort known for its refined service, extensive leisure amenities, restaurants, spa, fitness center, private beach, club lounge, and event spaces.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will handle guest repair requests, communicate with guests to resolve maintenance concerns, and carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical room equipment, and other assets. You will inspect tools and machines, operate shut-off valves, track maintenance inventory, and request parts and supplies when needed.

You will also share shift updates with other teams, perform basic troubleshooting and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related building systems, and complete painting, drywall, trim, bulb, and filter replacement work. The role includes basic repairs to guestroom items, TV programming, housekeeping support for engineering inventory, and maintenance of landscaping and sprinkler systems.

Additional duties include using lockout/tagout procedures before maintenance, keeping up with basic computer-based tasks such as air handler scheduling and temperature adjustments, and carrying out other work assigned by management.

You will be expected to follow company, safety, and security procedures; report hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues promptly; complete required safety training; store flammable materials correctly; and keep your uniform and appearance professional. The job also requires strong guest-service behavior, confidentiality, teamwork, clear communication, and adherence to quality expectations and The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.

Preferred Background

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some experience in general maintenance and in preparing and painting interior or exterior surfaces, and prior hotel engineering or maintenance experience is an advantage. No supervisory experience is required.

Required Certification

A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
