Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Paralegal position is based in Lusail, Qatar. The role supports attorneys working on litigation and corporate matters by handling research, preparing and formatting legal paperwork, and keeping case files well organized. The position also involves reviewing and summarizing contracts and pleadings, helping assemble court bundles and regulatory submissions, and maintaining accurate document control and case tracking records. In addition, the paralegal will communicate regularly with internal teams, outside counsel, courts, and other stakeholders to coordinate deadlines and monitor case progress. Where needed, the role includes translating and checking legal documents, as well as assisting attorneys during hearings, meetings, and routine administrative work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lawyers in litigation and corporate assignments through research, drafting, formatting, and document preparation.
- Organize and maintain case files, correspondence, and legal records in an accurate and systematic manner.
- Review contracts, pleadings, and related materials, then prepare concise summaries for attorney use.
- Assist with building court bundles and preparing documents for regulatory filings.
- Track deadlines, follow up on case developments, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Translate and verify legal documents when required.
- Provide assistance during hearings, meetings, and other day-to-day administrative tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
- Background in law with exposure to litigation and corporate or commercial practice areas.
- Ability to prepare, format, and organize legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
- Strong legal research and document review capability, with the ability to summarize complex material clearly and accurately.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills for dealing with attorneys, clients, courts, and external parties.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Law, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management across multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms and MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with document management tools is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural workplace while maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.
