Job Purpose
The Pricing Analyst will design, maintain, and improve pricing approaches for vehicle rental and leasing offerings. The goal is to strengthen revenue, profitability, and competitiveness by studying market movements, competitor rates, fleet usage, customer demand, and operating expenses, then turning those insights into practical pricing decisions for short-term rentals, long-term leases, and corporate clients.
Pricing Management
- Create and update pricing structures for daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term rental and leasing products.
- Review rates regularly and revise them based on demand trends, vehicle availability, seasonality, and business goals.
- Keep pricing aligned across every sales channel and customer group.
- Draft quotations and pricing offers for retail and corporate customers.
Market and Competitor Analysis
- Carry out frequent benchmarking against competitor pricing.
- Track market shifts, industry changes, and patterns in customer demand.
- Spot pricing opportunities that can improve revenue performance.
Revenue and Profitability Analysis
- Examine rental and leasing results, vehicle utilization, and revenue indicators.
- Assess the profitability of products, agreements, and customer segments.
- Recommend pricing changes that can lift margins and improve fleet utilization.
Contract and Tender Pricing
- Assist in building pricing for corporate tenders, RFPs, and leasing agreements.
- Check contract terms to make sure pricing supports profitability targets.
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams during tender preparation and submission.
Reporting and Data Management
- Prepare recurring reports on pricing, revenue, and utilization.
- Maintain accurate rate cards and pricing databases.
- Monitor KPIs and share insights with management.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Fleet Management, Finance, and Customer Service teams.
- Help roll out promotional campaigns and pricing initiatives.
- Ensure all pricing activity follows company rules and guidelines.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, or a closely related discipline is required.
Experience
The role calls for 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial analysis, fleet management, or car rental/leasing operations. Prior exposure to the automotive, mobility, transportation, or leasing sector is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative thinking
- Advanced Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, lookups, and financial modelling
- Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, pricing, or fleet management platforms
- Understanding of revenue management and pricing fundamentals
- Reporting and data visualization skills, with Power BI preferred
- Clear communication and presentation abilities
- Capacity to handle pressure and multiple priorities at once
- High attention to detail and sound commercial judgement
