About Camunda

Camunda provides an enterprise orchestration platform for coordinating AI agents, people, and systems across complex business workflows end to end. Its governance, auditability, and human-in-the-loop controls help organizations move AI initiatives from experiments into production with safety and scale. More than 700 organizations worldwide rely on Camunda, including 9 of the top 10 US banks, to improve efficiency, shorten time-to-value, and create stronger customer experiences.

The company operates fully remotely with a global team and is actively evolving into an AI-first organization built on its own platform. Agentic AI is used across the business to automate work, orchestrate intelligent processes, and amplify human contribution in every function. Camunda has been recognized on GP Bullhound’s Top 100 Next Unicorn list, is Great Place to Work certified for 2025, appears in Gartner’s 2025 Magic Quadrant for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies, and ranks 3rd in Flexa’s 2026 Most Flexible Companies list.

About the Role

Camunda is hiring a Product Builder to help shape the future of Operate. This position blends product sense, user empathy, UX judgment, and practical execution. It is a high-ownership role within the Products team for someone who enjoys moving quickly, partnering directly with customers and forward-deployed engineers, and building in an AI-first environment.

The initial emphasis is on the web application experience in Operate. Over time, the role is expected to expand across the full stack to support faster end-to-end delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with customers, forward-deployed engineers, and internal partners to identify and define important user problems in Operate.
  • Apply practical judgment to influence product direction, iterate quickly, and focus on solving the underlying issue rather than only fulfilling requests.
  • Prototype, develop, harden, release, and continuously improve product enhancements across the Operate experience.
  • Use AI tools to speed up drafting, implementation, iteration, and learning while keeping a high standard for quality.
  • Collaborate with other builders and product strategy partners to turn concepts into shipped results.
  • Improve the pod’s overall speed, quality, and ability to deliver products end to end.

What You’ll Bring

  • Direct experience delivering software products, not just managing requirements or roadmaps.
  • Comfort moving between product thinking, user experience, and hands-on execution.
  • Ability to work well in ambiguity and turn open-ended challenges into clear next steps.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote-first, pod-based setup.
  • Curiosity about users, fast learning cycles, and a strong bias toward iterative improvement.

Must-Have Skills and Experience

  • Practical experience building and shipping products in a software environment.
  • Strong AI-native working habits, including using AI tools for first drafts, implementation, and iteration, while critically reviewing and improving outputs.
  • Ability to clearly define the intended user experience, including flow, hierarchy, states, copy, and accessibility considerations.
  • Solid product and customer judgment, including understanding the real problem behind a request, using lightweight evidence and customer feedback, and making pragmatic decisions that create broader product value.
  • Sound technical judgment within an established architecture, including testing what was built, tracing issues, understanding frontend and backend boundaries, and contributing beyond a purely frontend scope over time.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Background in workflow software, orchestration, operations tools, or similarly technical product areas.
  • Experience in small, high-autonomy pods with shared ownership across discovery, design, and delivery.
  • Exposure to process monitoring, incident handling, or operational user experiences.
  • Ability to document validation learnings clearly, separate meaningful signal from noise, and improve lightweight product validation practices.

Compensation

Camunda offers competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Pay is location-based, with Standard and Major markets reflecting local competition. The annual total target cash, which may include base salary plus 100% variable target where relevant, ranges from the lower end of a Standard market to the upper end of a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and hiring usually occurs in the first half of the range to allow room for future growth.

Listed annual ranges are: United States $119,900 to $193,200; United Kingdom £75,300 to £123,800; Singapore S$148,900 to S$223,300. Candidates based elsewhere will be employed through Remote.com, Camunda’s global employer partner, and will receive a personalized Total Rewards Calculator after the first interview. Equity may also be available through Camunda’s Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP), where applicable.

Benefits and Perks

  • Work remotely with flexible arrangements, a home office budget, co-working support, and flexible time off.
  • Opportunities for in-person connection through annual kickoffs, team offsites, Camundi Connection Budgets, travel meetup support, and local gatherings.
  • Access to regionally tailored healthcare, Modern Health for global mental wellbeing, and the Live Well Lifestyle Spending Account, which launches in 2026 and grows to €1,000 annually from 2027.
  • Retirement and pension support, often with employer contributions, plus life and disability insurance where relevant.
  • Up to $/€/£1,000 each year for self-directed learning such as courses, certifications, or books.

Equal Opportunity

Camunda welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and is committed to an inclusive workplace. Employment decisions are made without regard to gender, race, ethnicity, religion, belief, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.
