About Lob
Lob, established in 2013 by technical founders, is working to modernize direct mail by combining logistics, fulfillment, and software into one scalable platform. The company helps businesses run personalized mail campaigns without needing to manage the operational complexity themselves, and is continuing to build out its product as customer needs evolve.
Role Overview
Lob is hiring an energetic Product Manager to help guide a complex, growing mail logistics platform. This person will work at the intersection of customer needs and technical execution, with an initial focus on finance-related initiatives such as usage billing, pricing modeling, and dynamic discounting. The ideal candidate is curious, commercially aware, confident with financial concepts, and strongly execution-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of product delivery in your area, making sure quality, speed, and stakeholder expectations are all managed effectively.
- Handle large initiatives with strong precision, while keeping the right stakeholders informed at the right moments.
- Build a strong understanding of internal accounting processes, then create SOPs and help train teams as new tools are introduced.
- Spot risks early, assess trade-offs with teammates, and make practical decisions that keep important work progressing.
- Shape roadmap direction by doing detailed user research, turning technical findings into clear Jobs To Be Done, advocating for customers, and evaluating business impact against company priorities.
- Communicate complex ideas in a simple, direct way so both technical and non-technical audiences can follow along.
- Proactively lead projects that improve the Product team’s ability to turn customer data into actionable insight.
- Support the use of emerging AI tools to improve product workflows, from design prototyping through QA.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a B2B software startup, either as a Product Manager or in a Solutions/Deployment Engineer role.
- Background working with accounting teams, financial software, or supply chain management.
- Strong interest in product work and a genuine desire to keep learning, growing, and strengthening strategic product skills.
- Comfort participating in technical discussions with engineers and contributing to architecture-related conversations.
Compensation
This role includes base pay, variable compensation, and RSUs. The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $137,500, and the variable component ranges from $13,000 to $13,750.
