The Team

As Web Summit grows its presence internationally, it is hiring a Project Coordinator in Qatar to support the Country Management and Live Events teams. The role is intended to help strengthen and maintain a successful partnership and ensure smooth execution across projects and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor country management initiatives from start to finish, keeping work aligned with agreed milestones and deadlines.
  • Create and update project schedules, trackers, timelines, and routine progress reports.
  • Coordinate activities across internal departments, senior stakeholders, strategic partners, and outside vendors.
  • Prepare polished presentations, reports, and briefing documents for leadership teams.
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation across all documents and outputs.
  • Support ongoing communication with key stakeholders and ensure follow-ups and responses happen on time.
  • Help manage protocol-related obligations while respecting local standards and expectations.
  • Build and sustain productive working relationships with internal and external contacts to keep priorities moving smoothly.
  • Handle administrative work connected to accreditation, high-level stakeholder requirements, and event logistics.
  • Coordinate physical invoice handling, document submissions, approvals, and official correspondence.
  • Ensure all operational and administrative tasks are delivered correctly, efficiently, and within schedule.
  • Assist with production planning and coordination for events and projects when needed.
  • Provide practical, on-site operational support during important event periods.

Requirements

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic, spoken and written.

  • Experience working with large-scale events, conferences, or international organisations.
  • Strong organisational ability with excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation-building capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Self-driven, dependable, and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Open to learning, adapting, and growing in a dynamic setting.
  • Background in administration, coordination, events, or production is an added advantage.
