Role overview
MAC.BID purchases truckloads of customer returns and surplus merchandise, then offers those items to the public one by one through online auctions. In this role, you will be responsible for moving scanned products out of the scanning area promptly and placing them in the correct storage bays according to the internal auction and lot system. The position reports to the Scan Team Lead or Big Box Scan Team Lead.
Key responsibilities
- Quickly clear scanned items from the scanning area.
- Transport merchandise to the appropriate bays and place it on shelves based on auction and lot numbers.
- Support the team in meeting both productivity and quality targets.
- Clean empty bays and the mobile scan area by sweeping and disposing of trash.
- Complete additional duties assigned by management.
Working schedule
This is an on-site, full-time hourly non-exempt role. Schedules can vary from Monday through Saturday, depending on the location. Shifts are 8 hours long and include a 30-minute lunch break. Working hours are set based on workload and the General Manager.
Requirements
- Must be available to work on-site.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds as part of a team lift.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable using technology.
- Able to follow written instructions and company rules.
- High School Diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
