Role Summary
This position focuses on coordinating technical resources for installation and project work across Canada. The role combines scheduling, workforce planning, database upkeep, and administrative support to help projects run smoothly.
Resource Planning and Scheduling
- Build daily schedules and allocate qualified technicians to installation and project assignments across Canada.
- Monitor the resource management inbox every day, handle incoming requests, and manage schedule updates.
- Keep track of technician availability, including vacations and other time away, and flag any effects on project timelines in advance.
- Anticipate upcoming staffing needs and help with cost analysis tied to workforce planning.
- Spot possible manpower shortages and raise those needs to support timely hiring.
- Serve as the main contact for technicians regarding scheduling and assignments.
Skills Tracking and Development
- Maintain an accurate record of technician skills and certifications so the right people are assigned to the right work.
- Help support employee growth by arranging mentorship opportunities between junior and senior technicians.
Project Support
- Assist project teams across functions whenever needed.
- Look into mismatches or discrepancies in technician hours and asset records.
- Prepare purchase orders for external vendors.
- Coordinate technicians through Field Nation and approve work orders.
- Handle additional administrative and coordination tasks that contribute to successful project delivery.
- Create and submit ServiceNow tickets on behalf of field technicians.
Qualifications
- Experience of 2 to 4+ years in resource coordination, scheduling, project coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong ability to stay organized and manage several priorities at the same time.
- Careful approach to work with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to develop productive working relationships with internal teams and field personnel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially advanced Excel.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow is beneficial, though it is not mandatory.
Additional Information
This is a full-time onsite position based in India. The work involves supporting technicians and project teams across Canada.
