Role overview
Haymes Paint is hiring a full-time Stores Sales Assistant for its Browns Plains location in Hillcrest, Queensland. This is a busy, fast-paced retail environment where you’ll support both trade and retail customers with helpful service, product guidance, and colour-related expertise. The role suits someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for detail, and wants to develop their skills in a supportive team setting.
What you will do
- Assist trade and retail customers by offering product guidance, practical solutions, and attentive service.
- Respond to paint-related enquiries, including tinting products and matching colours to customer needs.
- Support stock control activities such as receiving goods, counting stock, and replenishing shelves.
- Process customer orders in person and over the phone.
- Develop positive relationships with regular customers and work closely with team members.
- Help with merchandising, visual presentation, and general store upkeep.
- Follow safe work practices at all times.

- A valid driver’s licence, as local deliveries may be required.
