Sales Associate

Role Overview

This full-time Sales Associate role is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and works in an airport retail setting. The position is customer-facing and requires open availability between 6:00 AM and 12:00 AM. The hourly pay rate is $18.25.

What You'll Do

• Place the customer at the center of every interaction.
• Deliver personalized service by understanding customer needs and suggesting suitable products.
• Promote special offers, products, and services to shoppers.
• Handle customer concerns, resolve issues when possible, and escalate matters when needed.
• Build positive working relationships with teammates.
• Keep the store clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing according to merchandising and housekeeping standards.
• Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently through the point-of-sale system.
• Use handheld devices to manage receiving, cycle counts, product returns, transfers, and related store tasks.
• Complete required documentation and process-control paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow company procedures, including safety practices and loss prevention standards.
• Comply with cash-handling requirements and loss prevention operating procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Prior success in selling within a busy, service-driven retail environment.
• Clear ability to greet customers, engage them effectively, and close the interaction professionally.
• High school completion or equivalent qualification.
• At least one year of retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to work different shifts in a 7-day, 365-day team-based environment.
• Strong customer service and English communication skills.
• Good reading, writing, and math ability.
• Self-motivated approach with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Flexibility to handle changing priorities and unexpected situations.
• Ability to complete required background screening, including federal criminal history checks, company screening, and applicable aviation and transportation-related requirements.
• Willingness to obtain a Canadian Criminal Records Check for airport access and employment.
• Ability to handle computer-based work, stand for long periods, climb, bend, lift up to 40 lbs, and work early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
