Role overview
The Sales Manager will drive revenue results across assigned territories by guiding a strong team of Sales Consultants and Associates. The position is accountable for estate-level pricing decisions, stage-release planning, promotional activity, and managing the customer journey. In partnership with the Head of Sales, this role turns sales goals into practical day-to-day actions, oversees people management, and keeps close track of local market conditions to help the developments stay competitively positioned.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and support the Sales Associates and Sales Consultants across the business.
- Carry out workforce planning to support a proactive hiring approach rather than reactive recruitment.
- Assist with hiring to make sure the right people are selected for each role and align with the company culture.
- Run performance management processes so team members have clear, measurable expectations.
- Maintain role clarity by ensuring responsibilities are well defined and people are suitably matched to their positions.
- Implement reward and recognition initiatives that strengthen engagement and support company priorities.
- Encourage, motivate, and inspire the workforce to improve performance, alignment, and retention.
- Plan leave across the business to avoid under-staffing during peak periods and unnecessary leave accumulation.
- Deliver profitable sales results against target.
- Improve and manage sales process effectiveness.
- Oversee and enhance the customer experience.
- Collect and share market and project intelligence.
High-value activities
- Hold monthly one-on-one performance discussions with each Sales Associate and Consultant to review KPI progress, expectations, development needs, and any engagement or performance concerns.
- Run a weekly sales meeting every Monday focused on pipeline movement, objections, recent wins, promotional updates, coaching needs, and documented action items.
- Review pipeline performance and enquiry-to-sale conversion results every two weeks, identify under-target team members, and apply coaching or resource support where needed, including at least one documented intervention.
- Visit project sites to work with frontline sales teams, assess presentation standards, and observe the customer experience, then share written observations and actions with the sales leadership team.
- Meet once a month with builders or referral partners to strengthen relationships, discuss product or market changes, and gather customer insight, then circulate a written summary within three working days.
- Lead monthly pricing and release planning discussions for upcoming stages in coordination with the Head of Sales, aligning on timing, positioning, and competitive context.
Remuneration
Pay is negotiable and will depend on the candidate’s experience.
