Role overview
This permanent full-time Schedule Coordinator position is based in Hamilton and offers a starting rate of $27.39 per hour. The role sits at the heart of roster coordination, with a strong focus on building dependable working relationships with Support Workers and Service Managers so that schedules run smoothly and services continue without disruption.
You will spend a significant part of your day speaking with Support Workers by phone, maintaining forward rosters, and responding quickly when short-notice sick leave or other unexpected changes affect staffing. The environment is fast-paced and can be demanding, so staying calm, resilient, and organised is essential to meeting deadlines and service needs.
What you will do
- Maintain accurate and timely rosters for Support Workers.
- Work closely with Support Workers and their Service Managers to keep communication clear and relationships positive.
- Manage frequent phone contact as part of day-to-day scheduling coordination.
- Respond quickly to urgent changes, including short-notice absences and sick leave cover.
- Help ensure services for the people supported continue without interruption.
- Handle competing priorities effectively in a changing work environment.
What you will bring
- Administration experience, with rostering or scheduling experience considered a strong advantage.
- Confident verbal and written communication, along with a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to manage conflict and work toward a quick resolution.
- Experience working in an environment where priorities and needs can change rapidly.
- Strong computer confidence, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
