Overview
Vistaar News is hiring a Scheduling Executive for its media operations team in Bhopal. This onsite role focuses on day-to-day program planning, ad slot management, and coordination across content and commercial teams. Compensation will be offered as per market standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain broadcast schedules on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Assign time slots for programs, advertisements, promos, fillers, and special content.
- Make sure the schedule supports the channel’s programming plan and intended audience.
- Coordinate regularly with Programming, Production, Marketing, and Sales teams.
- Work with the Traffic/Ad Sales function to place commercial spots correctly.
- Track commercial break lengths and follow ad placement guidelines.
- Watch inventory usage closely and prevent overbooking.
- Confirm that all paid ads are telecast at the scheduled time.
- Communicate schedule updates and revised versions clearly to stakeholders.
- Assist production teams by sharing recording and playout schedules.
- Use ad scheduling and billing software such as BATS.
- Prepare MIS reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong ability to organize, plan, and manage schedules.
- Effective communication and cross-team coordination skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and advanced Excel.
- Capability to handle deadlines and multiple priorities at once.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in media scheduling, traffic operations, or broadcast coordination is preferred.
