Security Operations Officer

Role overview

This role sits within facilities management and building safety oversight across several designated buildings. It also involves delivering specialist protective security services to multiple government client facilities.

You will oversee a team of protective services officers and coordinate service delivery across several locations, each with different clients, equipment, risks, and operational concerns. Full role details are available in the position profile.

Key accountabilities

• Direct, supervise, and train staff on the job, including mobile patrol personnel, across multiple locations, while identifying development needs through performance and development agreements.
• Lead productive teams to ensure protective security services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
• Assign human and physical resources to satisfy operational and administrative demands.
• Provide immediate support to protective services officers during critical incidents when needed.
• Work with the Security Operations Officer / Senior Site Security Coordinator to prepare detailed reports covering operational, administrative, and staffing matters.
• Manage the initial response to incidents until the matter is resolved or transferred to the appropriate emergency service provider.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues, strengthen service delivery, and recommend and apply process improvements in line with client and site requirements.
