About the Company
Pomelo Care is a virtual medical practice focused on women and children. The organization supports patients through pregnancy, postpartum, pediatrics, menopause, and perimenopause by combining proactive clinical care available around the clock with technology that helps surface risks sooner and personalize support across the care journey. Its team brings together clinicians, technologists, operators, and problem-solvers to make quality care more reachable for families across the country.
Role Overview
This position is intended to strengthen the clinical practice by managing essential insurance, benefits, and administrative operations. It reports to the Senior Manager of Midlife Operations and may be based anywhere in the continental United States.
Core Duties
In this role, you will handle insurance verification, referral and authorization tracking, cost estimation support, patient and provider communication, and day-to-day administrative coordination for the doula and midlife business lines. You will also help improve operational efficiency by refining workflows and supporting cross-functional collaboration.
Working Schedule
This is a day-shift role scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings healthcare administration experience, preferably from virtual care, and is comfortable navigating insurance and benefits questions for both Medicaid and commercial members. The role calls for strong attention to detail, speed, adaptability, and a patient-first mindset, along with the ability to work closely with clinicians and other teams.
Why Join
This is an opportunity to join an early-stage, well-funded, mission-driven company that prioritizes patients and offers room to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully in a collaborative environment.
Benefits and Compensation
Pomelo Care offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their families, HSA-compatible high-deductible plans, an FSA, equity participation, a 401(k) program, competitive vacation, 16 weeks of paid parental leave, and fully remote work within the United States. The base pay range for this role is $55,000 to $65,000 annually, and the position is also eligible for equity.
Equal Opportunity
The company is committed to hiring a diverse team and values candidates from many backgrounds, including but not limited to race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, national origin, religion, disability, and veteran status.
