TITLE:
Senior Executive / Assistant Manager - FinOps
DESCRIPTION:
Role Overview
We are hiring a proactive, technology-oriented professional to join our FinOps function in Gurugram. This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving startup setting, handling client-facing financial operations, and partnering with both technical and business teams to improve financial processes and support growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities using Tally (India) and QuickBooks (US), including payment postings, vendor invoice processing, employee reimbursements, and GST-compliant refund handling.
- Apply sound expense accounting practices across routine finance operations.
- Build and maintain Excel-based records for accounts payable, support budgeting exercises and variance reviews, and process advance tax, GST, TDS, and PF payments along with related filings.
- Monitor statutory and compliance timelines, work with auditors, keep AR records current, follow up on pending customer invoices, and complete reconciliations for bank, GST ITC, and TDS accounts.
- Update US Ramp card transactions and prepare monthly timesheets for billable work hours.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing and work closely with HR on employee compensation matters.
- Ensure India books are closed on time and share management information reports with leadership.
Experience and Education
- CA Inter or CWA candidates are preferred, with 3 to 7 years of experience.
- B.Com or M.Com graduates with 5 to 8 years of experience may also apply.
- Prior exposure to Tally of at least 3 years is required.
- Experience with QuickBooks will be considered an added advantage.
- Understanding of US GAAP is beneficial.
- Background in payroll, inter-company accounting, and consolidation will be useful.
- Hands-on experience in preparing financial statements and coordinating with auditors is desirable.
