About lemon.markets
lemon.markets is building tools that make investing accessible to everyone. The company’s goal is to expand investment opportunities for customers and businesses across Europe by helping fintechs, banks, and wealth managers launch investment products that strengthen their customers’ financial well-being.
The business operates as a Brokerage-as-a-Service platform, offering a straightforward API-based gateway to capital markets. Its infrastructure simplifies brokerage complexity through a well-documented API, a customer operations portal, and a transparent regulatory setup, allowing partners to launch compliant, customer-focused products in a matter of weeks rather than months.
As a member of the dwpbank group, lemon.markets benefits from additional resources and expertise while remaining an independent fintech with its own team, product, and startup identity.
Your mission
In this role, you will partner closely with the Founder and CEO as well as the leadership team to support strategic priorities and day-to-day execution across the business.
You will own high-impact, cross-functional work spanning commercial, product, and operations topics, while also helping improve internal processes, strengthen organisational structures, and maintain alignment as the company grows.
The position is designed for someone motivated by the mission of making investing available to more people. You will work on important initiatives both within lemon.markets and alongside its parent company, dwpbank, gaining exposure to experienced experts while taking real ownership in a fast-moving, ambitious environment.
This opportunity suits someone who enjoys ambiguity, moves quickly, and wants hands-on experience building a high-growth fintech infrastructure company.
What you will do
- Support the Founder and CEO with strategic and operational initiatives that advance company priorities.
- Study market shifts, competitor activity, and broader trends in the European brokerage, wealth, and investment infrastructure space.
- Take the lead on special projects tied to the next phase of growth, with emphasis on brokerage, custody, and capital markets.
- Guide and coach the Founder’s Associate Intern team by providing direction, structure, prioritisation, and support to ensure strong execution and skill growth.
- Improve and expand internal processes, documentation, and operating models across the organisation, including opportunities created by AI.
- Help design, organise, and deliver cross-functional initiatives with multiple teams.
- Connect teams across the company by understanding priorities, identifying blockers and gaps early, and encouraging effective collaboration.
What makes you a strong fit
- You hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or a similar field.
- You approach problems with an entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable taking full ownership of your work.
- You have at least 2 years of practical experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally in an early-stage startup, fintech, consulting, tech company, or similar setting.
- You have exposure to brokerage, trading, or custody, or you are highly motivated to learn the details behind these areas.
- You are comfortable working through change and uncertainty, and you can break complex topics into clear priorities.
- You work well with others and naturally share knowledge within a team.
- You are eager to learn new tools and capabilities as needed.
- You are capable of handling layered workstreams and independently owning difficult problems from start to finish.
- You stay on top of tasks, follow up proactively, and make sure nothing slips through.
- You are analytical, data-oriented, and comfortable with financial modelling.
- You take initiative, challenge the status quo, and do not limit yourself to narrow job boundaries.
What the company offers
- A competitive compensation package aligned with your experience and the value you bring.
- Flexible working hours with shared core hours from 12:00 to 16:00.
- A hybrid setup that allows you to work from anywhere in Germany, while also spending substantial time in the Berlin office and at team gatherings.
- Ongoing personal development through mentorship, stretch assignments, a structured career framework, regular feedback, and an annual learning budget.
- A people-first culture reflected in team rituals, onboarding moments, food-market walks, breakfast meetups, and a strong discussion culture.
- Benefits such as a Deutschlandticket for employees on unlimited contracts and 50% off Beatvest, the company’s financial education and investing partner.
- Workation flexibility: up to 10 consecutive days remotely from anywhere in the EU, and up to 60 days per year in total.
Equal opportunity
The company is committed to building an inclusive workplace and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, including differences in age, citizenship, ethnicity, race, gender identity, disability, marital status, religion, ideology, and sexual orientation.
Applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every requirement.
