Role Overview
The Senior Project Scheduler will sit within the Biologics Centre of Excellence in Technical Development Services and will be responsible for building, tracking, and improving project schedules in Microsoft Project. The position supports strong project governance by providing structured tools and standard processes for schedule management, resource loading, demand forecasting, benefits tracking, risk analysis, and reporting. The role requires someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with project leads, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
What You Will Do
- Create and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project and produce regular updates and status reports for project milestones and activities.
- Support the design of detailed project timelines from project start through to completion using scheduling tools.
- Work alongside project leaders and managers to plan and monitor project tasks and deliverables.
- Allocate people, equipment, and materials across tasks in Microsoft Project based on direction from project leadership.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to keep project information clear and aligned.
- Support the handling of schedule change requests throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Prepare and run schedule compliance reports, actual-versus-planned analysis, S-curves, and headcount reports.
- Help establish a technical agenda programme within the Technical Development Services department.
- Maintain the risk register and carry out impact analysis as needed.
- Support project governance forums and coordinate project status card updates with project leads and managers.
- Take on other assigned duties, including intern supervision if required.
What We Are Looking For
- More than 5 years of experience managing schedules for a portfolio of technical projects.
- Strong hands-on experience with project planning tools such as Microsoft Project, Planview, or similar software.
- Proven background in operational projects, with less focus on capital projects.
- Ability to assess resource capacity against demand and identify planning gaps.
- Experience working across functional teams to deliver shared business goals.
- Self-driven, outcome-focused, and comfortable initiating improvements or change.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence people at different levels across a global organisation.
- PMP certification is required.
- Planview experience is considered an advantage.
