About Rippling
Rippling provides a single platform for managing HR, IT, and Finance operations. Instead of juggling separate tools for payroll, expenses, benefits, devices, and other workforce processes, companies can automate the full employee lifecycle in one place.
For example, with Rippling, a company can onboard a new hire anywhere in the world and, in about 90 seconds, set up payroll, a corporate card, a laptop, benefits, and access to tools such as Slack and Microsoft 365.
Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Rippling has secured more than $1.4B in funding from leading investors including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock. Forbes also recognized the company as one of America’s best startup employers.

About the Financial Product Team
The Financial Product Engineering team is driving Rippling’s growth in fintech. Its goal is to create a unified global financial system for businesses, tightly connected with employee, HR, and IT data. The team focuses on simplifying difficult cross-functional workflows such as global payroll, corporate spend, and expense management while giving businesses accurate control and live visibility into money movement.
What We Build
- Global Payroll: Building systems that calculate, file, and process payroll in multiple countries, including tax rules, compliance logic, and direct payment infrastructure.
- Spend Management: Creating an end-to-end platform that helps companies track and control every dollar they spend. The system brings together corporate cards, reimbursements, procurement, bill payments, and travel in one workflow connected to accounting and payroll, with policy enforcement and approvals happening in real time.
- Banking and Fintech Infrastructure: Developing a secure, scalable financial backbone for global money movement, billing, reconciliation, compliance, and financial intelligence, designed to launch products quickly with minimal manual intervention and no disbursement failures.
- Tax and Compliance Platforms: Designing reliable systems for fast-changing tax and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, including tax calculation, setup, filings, and payments for the US and expanding international markets.
What You Will Do
- Build and refine backend product capabilities as well as customer-facing features, contributing across the stack.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to turn detailed requirements and designs into responsive, polished code.
- Operate with speed and judgment, making sensible decisions when product direction is still evolving and learning from user feedback.
- Help strengthen a culture of high standards within the product and engineering organization.
What You Will Need
- At least 5 years of experience in a production environment using Python, Django, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of frontend development with React or TypeScript.
- Hands-on exposure to systems running at meaningful technical and organizational scale.
- A strong product mindset with attention to design and user experience improvements.
- Experience delivering complex projects end to end.
- Solid computer science and algorithms fundamentals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
