ServiceNow Developer

Position Overview

Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this role is focused on building and supporting solutions on the ServiceNow platform for IT Service Management, Enterprise Service Management, and broader digital workflow initiatives. The position is geared toward creating secure, scalable, and reliable implementations that support business goals and transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, tailor, configure, and support ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and related areas to match business needs.
• Create and maintain scripts, workflows, business rules, integrations, and automated processes using JavaScript, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow APIs.
• Deliver enhancements in line with platform standards, governance practices, and security controls.
• Investigate and fix platform issues to maintain performance, uptime, stability, and protection.
• Partner with architects, administrators, and other technical teams to develop solutions that are scalable and easy to sustain.
• Keep track of ServiceNow releases, product updates, and industry developments to suggest improvements and new ideas.
• Work with project managers, business analysts, stakeholders, and users to understand needs and translate them into technical deliverables.
• Offer technical support, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and business stakeholders.
• Take part in code reviews, testing cycles, deployments, and release activities to help ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Find ways to streamline business processes and increase efficiency using ServiceNow capabilities.
• Contribute to digital transformation efforts through workflow automation and platform functionality.
• Document configurations, integrations, workflows, and development standards clearly and accurately.
• Run training and handover sessions for users and administrators on new features and functionality.
• Make sure all development work follows company standards, security policies, and IT governance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 to 5 years of practical experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration.
• Strong exposure to ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and Service Catalog.
• Solid command of JavaScript, ServiceNow scripting, Flow Designer, REST/SOAP APIs, and system integrations.
• Hands-on background in platform customization, workflow automation, and application building on ServiceNow.
• Working knowledge of ITSM processes, ITIL principles, and enterprise workflow operations.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external or third-party systems.
• Understanding of ServiceNow best practices, platform governance, security, and upgrade handling.
• ServiceNow certifications such as CSA or CAD are an added advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
