About the Role
The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) position is a development-oriented opportunity intended to prepare you for a future CVS Store Manager role. It is built to strengthen your leadership abilities through a structured 16-week learning journey that combines self-paced study with collaborative development.

As part of the program, you will learn through both virtual modules and hands-on store experience. Support for your growth comes from multiple leaders, including a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach.

- Strengthen your readiness for store leadership through scheduled learning experiences and coaching.
- Contribute as a member of the management team while leading in line with CVS values and policies.
- Help motivate and engage colleagues around the company purpose of supporting better health.
- Accept leadership assignments within the market as part of your growth path.
- Use communication, customer service, merchandising, and inventory management skills to support store performance and profitability.

Requirements and Eligibility
- Willingness to accept a promotion to a Store Manager role at any location within the designated market.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores in the assigned market.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that may change based on business needs.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Retail management experience is preferred, or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
- Relevant work experience may be considered instead of a four-year college degree.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected hourly pay range for this role is $18.50 to $23.88.
This is a full-time position scheduled at approximately 45 hours per week.

Important Notes
Being selected for the SMIT program does not automatically guarantee promotion to Store Manager. Advancement depends on several factors, including performance and the availability of openings.
