Role overview

Uber’s Global Membership and Loyalty team is hiring a Strategy & Operations Associate to help shape and accelerate several important near-term priorities across the membership and loyalty businesses. The position calls for a highly analytical, self-directed, and collaborative operator who can translate data into action and drive measurable business outcomes.

This person will serve as the main operational lead for a set of strategic areas within the Membership and Loyalty pillars. You’ll be expected to treat the assigned space like a business of your own: identify opportunities, define the direction, and execute quickly and effectively. The role suits someone who works best with high-level guidance rather than close daily supervision and who can confidently manage complex initiatives from start to finish.

What you’ll own

  • Lead a strategic area from end to end, with responsibility for both execution and results.
  • Work independently to spot business gaps, form strong recommendations, and build practical plans without needing a step-by-step roadmap.
  • Use data, including external and internal sources, to build business cases and turn ideas into real initiatives.
  • Coordinate across teams to move projects forward in uncertain or ambiguous environments.
  • Own recurring leadership reporting and executive visibility processes, including MBRs and QBRs, to provide clear updates on performance.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 1 year of experience in strategy, operations, analytics, consulting, or a comparable field, with evidence of leading projects end to end with limited oversight.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, technical, or similar discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools, SQL, and Excel or Google Sheets, plus familiarity with building dashboards and reports.
  • A strong bias toward action, ownership, and independent problem-solving in high-visibility work.
  • The ability to analyze raw data, extract meaningful insights, and convert them into recommendations.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and launching initiatives from the ground up with minimal direction.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills for working with a broad set of cross-functional partners.
  • Experience producing insights that shaped strategy or created business impact.
  • Exposure to executive reporting rhythms such as MBRs and QBRs.
  • Experience with external partnerships and/or business development is a plus.
