Role summary
This contract opportunity is for a Telecommunications Specialist who will support the design, rollout, and ongoing upkeep of telecom systems and network infrastructure for a client project. The work is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere.
What you will do
- Plan, implement, and fine-tune telecom networks, with hands-on work across VoIP, SIP, and PSTN environments.
- Partner with different teams to connect telecom solutions with the existing IT landscape.
- Track network health, investigate incidents, and resolve issues quickly to keep downtime low and service stable.
- Set up and administer telecom equipment such as routers, switches, and gateways.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for network settings, procedures, and policies for both internal teams and external partners.
What the client is looking for
- At least 3 years of experience in telecommunications engineering or a similar role.
- Practical knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and PSTN technologies and protocols.
- Solid understanding of network design, routing, and switching fundamentals.
- Experience working with telecom hardware including routers, switches, and gateways.
- Comfort using monitoring and diagnostic tools to assess network performance.
- Ability to identify and fix complex network problems effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
