Role Summary

Career Team is hiring a Virtual Career Trainer to lead a remote career-training cohort and help participants strengthen the tools and confidence they need for job search success. In this position, you will guide learners through a 5-week virtual program, coaching a group of 20 to 25 participants through resume building, interviewing, professional branding, and job search strategies.

Work Setup and Schedule

This is a part-time, fully remote role delivered through Zoom. The program runs in weekly virtual cohorts and may last between 3 and 5 weeks depending on the assignment. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM EST.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Career TEAM’s core training content on resume writing, professional branding on LinkedIn, interviewing, and current job search methods.
  • Create and sustain an online learning space that feels supportive, energetic, and inclusive.
  • Use varied teaching approaches and digital tools to keep participants interested and actively involved.
  • Review attendance and progress, and step in with coaching or encouragement when participants need extra support.
  • Serve as a liaison between participants and program funding partners as needed.

What You Need

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in career services or career coaching, plus 2 years of teaching experience in a classroom or online setting.
  • Strong command of Zoom-based facilitation and social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to keep an online cohort organized and on track.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) credential.
