About the internship

Shakuntala Poddar Welfare Foundation is looking for a teaching intern to support classroom learning and help strengthen its education-focused community programmes in Delhi.

What you will do

• Work alongside teachers and staff to help shape an engaging and well-structured curriculum.
• Use original ideas and creative approaches to make learning more interesting for students.
• Create presentations and teaching resources using MS Office tools.
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with students, teachers, and parents.
• Assist in running educational initiatives and programme activities.
• Help build a supportive, inclusive, and positive atmosphere for all learners.

Working details

• This is an offline, in-office internship in Delhi.
• The role follows a 6-day work week.
• Working hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• The internship is paid, with a monthly stipend in the range of INR 5,000 to INR 10,000.
• The internship duration is 4 months and it begins immediately.

Who this role is suited for

This opportunity is open to candidates based in Delhi who can commit to a full-time, on-site internship, start between 11 June 2026 and 16 July 2026, and stay for the full 4-month duration. Applicants should have interest and relevant skills in teaching and education. Women who are looking to restart or relaunch their careers are also encouraged to apply.

About the organisation

Shakuntala Poddar Welfare Foundation (SPWF) is a registered grassroots NGO in Dwarka, Delhi. It works with children through nutrition, education, and vocational learning, and supports women through skill-development activities that promote employment and financial independence. The organisation has worked with more than 800 children, girls, women, and families in Matiala, West Delhi.

Its activities include helping children secure admission into government schools, offering regular learning support, and conducting programmes in stitching, computer education, art, and personality development. SPWF has also organised community well-being initiatives. The organisation aims to expand access to education, skills, and opportunities that help children and women build confident, independent lives.
