Account Executive

Role overview

The organization is seeking a careful, proactive Account Executive for a client located in Andheri West, Mumbai. The position involves managing core accounting activities, preparing financial reports, and making sure all statutory and internal compliance requirements are met. This is not limited to basic bookkeeping; it calls for strong ownership of closing cycles, analytical thinking, and regular coordination with both internal teams and outside stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

The selected candidate will handle accounting operations from end to end in Tally, maintain accurate records for income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, and verify ledger balances and reconciliations. The role also includes protecting the accuracy of the books, managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closure activities, and taking care of provisions, accruals, and other period-end adjustments.

Another important part of the job is financial reporting and MIS preparation. The person will prepare and review monthly MIS outputs such as the Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement, while also providing variance analysis and practical insights to support management decisions.

On the compliance side, the role requires support for GST, TDS, and related statutory obligations. The candidate will coordinate with auditors, CA professionals, and regulatory bodies, and will assist with internal and external audits by keeping records organized and ready for review.

The position also involves monitoring cash flow and working capital, tracking receivables and payables to ensure timely collections and payments, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting work. In addition, the candidate should help improve accounting processes, support junior accounting staff when required, and follow internal financial controls and company policies.

Qualifications and requirements

The role is open to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, or finance; a Master of Commerce or CA Inter background is preferred. Applicants should have 1 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience and must be comfortable working with Tally and MS Excel, with advanced Excel knowledge being an advantage.

A strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting is expected, along with sound analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Experience in managing audits and compliance independently, familiarity with financial planning and analysis, leadership or team-handling exposure, and good command over language are preferred strengths.

Compensation and offer
