Account Manager

Role overview

This position is designed for someone who wants to grow into leadership within a retail operations environment. The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing rental accounts, delivering excellent customer support, driving sales, managing deliveries and pickups, keeping the store looking sharp, and handling early-stage collections. The role plays an important part in improving account performance and strengthening customer relationships while following the company’s mission and values.

The starting hourly pay for this role is $13.01 to $15.30.

Key duties

• Manage a dedicated group of customer accounts and develop strong, ongoing relationships.
• Handle early delinquency collections for accounts 1 to 6 days past due and work toward daily and weekly collection targets.
• Protect account health by using account management tools and obtaining payment commitments.
• Complete scheduled routes for deliveries, pickups, and follow-ups related to customer accounts.
• Provide a high level of customer service in the store, by phone, and during in-home visits.
• Support revenue growth by generating new rental agreements and helping close sales.
• Safely move, install, transport, and handle merchandise.
• Keep the sales floor and showroom presentation standards high, and maintain company vehicles.
• Follow all operational procedures and safety requirements set by the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
• Strong communication ability and customer service experience are important for success in this role.

Physical and work conditions

This is a physically active position that involves lifting, bending, standing, and driving for long stretches of time. The work may also require driving a box truck and handling heavy merchandise.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a Monday through Saturday schedule. Sundays are off, along with one additional weekday.
