Assistant Director (Audience Analytics)

Role Overview

This position is focused on shaping audience understanding work that supports MINDEF/SAF’s strategy, policy, and planning. The role covers public communications, internal communications, and community engagement through the creation of audience profiles and analytical frameworks.

Key Work Areas

• Formulate strategic guidance for how MINDEF/SAF should engage its different audiences.
• Plan and coordinate social science research across multiple audience segments within MINDEF/SAF.

Challenges in the Role

• Stay current with developments and best practices in psychology while helping ensure MINDEF/SAF’s capabilities keep pace with a changing environment.

Requirements

• You should have at least 6 years of experience planning and carrying out research studies that include an analysis component.
• Working knowledge of social science analysis is needed, along with hands-on use of analytical tools such as SPSS; exposure to tools or languages like R or Python will be an advantage.
• You must be able to think critically, respond quickly, and develop practical and creative solutions to problems.
• Good organisational ability is important, together with a strong understanding of defence, security, and the evolving information landscape, and the capacity to apply psychology in support of organisational goals.
• Strong presentation and communication skills are required so you can explain findings and recommendations clearly and in a way that is easy to understand.
