Role overview

As a Bartender at KERB Berlin, you will help create memorable guest experiences by preparing and serving drinks from independent breweries and producers, engaging warmly with visitors, and delivering consistently high service standards. The role suits someone who enjoys food and beverage service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can spot opportunities to increase sales through thoughtful recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present drinks with care and attention to detail, while delivering excellent customer service and passing guest concerns to the Bar Supervisor when needed.
• Support bar setup before service by cutting fruit, arranging glassware, and completing final cleaning tasks, and assist with closing duties such as waste disposal, dishwashing, and stock rotation.
• Stay familiar with KERB Berlin’s food and drink menu so you can make relevant recommendations to guests.
• Follow all safety procedures and alcohol-serving regulations, including age verification checks.
• Work closely with experienced colleagues, staying calm, professional, and proactive in a busy and energetic setting.

What we are looking for

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, confident manner.
• A natural ability to upsell and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Genuine enthusiasm for food, drinks, and hospitality.
• Availability for evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems, specifically Lightspeed.
• Good knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits; cocktail experience is an advantage.
• Comfortable using German and English at a secure B1 level or above to communicate effectively with guests and teammates.

Additional information

This role is based in the Venue Team department in Berlin, Germany. Compensation is €14.00 per hour.
