Role Overview
As a Bookstore Keyholder, you will help lead day-to-day bookstore operations while delivering excellent service to customers and supporting the wider store team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys books, customer interaction, and retail leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality service to both internal team members and external customers.
- Work alongside store leadership to train, coach, supervise, and assess team members.
- Learn and become proficient in all parts of the donated retail goods workflow.
- Help manage store operations, including opening and closing duties, handling cash, controlling inventory, processing and rotating donated items, and loading trucks.
- Support donation stewardship by staying informed about literary trends and widely read titles.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Comfort with basic computer tasks is required.
- Previous cash-handling experience is preferred.
- Availability to work daytime, evening, and weekend shifts is necessary.
- The candidate must be able to carry out the essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Requirements
- The job requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
