About CORE Environmental

CORE Environmental handles complex work that many organizations avoid. The company operates in Canada’s toughest settings, including remote northern locations, contaminated industrial properties, Arctic communities, and challenging hazardous waste environments. Its services span hazardous waste management, site remediation, decommissioning, industrial cleaning, and waste valorization. CORE also works in partnership with Indigenous communities and takes on assignments where logistics are difficult and precision matters.

As a compact team, CORE delivers at a level beyond its size. It competes successfully with larger firms by acting quickly, thinking strategically, and staying focused on results rather than simply meeting compliance checklists.

The Role

CORE is looking for a Client Services Coordinator to manage the early stages of the business development process. The position combines relationship building and outreach with proposal coordination and quotation work. You will be the first point of contact for many clients and will guide inquiries through to the point of purchase order approval.

This is not a scripted call-centre position. You will need enough understanding of the company’s services to hold meaningful conversations, identify the right opportunity, prepare or coordinate a strong quote, and help move the deal to completion.

The role includes commission on every purchase order you generate.

Client Outreach and Relationship Management

  • Reach out to prospective clients through both warm and cold contact across sectors such as mining, oil and gas, municipal, utilities, and federal accounts.
  • Strengthen existing client relationships through steady, professional follow-up.
  • Assess opportunities and direct them to the appropriate technical or project team members.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events when required.

Quoting and Proposal Coordination

  • Create clear quotes and service estimates on your own using rate sheets and scope templates provided by CORE.
  • Work with technical staff on more complex scopes by collecting inputs, organizing the proposal, and handling submission.
  • Monitor active quotes and continue follow-up until a decision is reached.
  • Keep the CRM updated with accurate notes on client conversations, quotes, and outcomes. CORE uses Pipedrive, though similar systems are acceptable.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of experience in a client-facing position that includes sales or business development responsibilities. Experience in environmental services, engineering, consulting, or a related technical field is important.

You should be able to manage several live opportunities at once, communicate clearly in writing and speech, and build quotes or estimates from pricing tools and scope information. Prior CRM experience is required, and familiarity with Pipedrive or comparable software is a plus.

CORE is seeking someone who takes ownership, follows through without constant reminders, and is motivated by meaningful work in demanding environments.

Compensation

The package includes a competitive base salary aligned with experience, commission on purchase orders received, and a benefits package. There is also room to grow with a company that is expanding across the country.

Why CORE

  • Contribute to important work involving northern remediation, Indigenous partnerships, hazardous waste, and complex industrial sites.
  • Join a small team with direct access to leadership and real responsibility in your role.
  • Receive training in project management, waste streams, and CORE’s service delivery approach.
  • Work remotely while supporting projects across Canada.

Additional Information

CORE Environmental is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified candidates, including Indigenous peoples, women, persons with disabilities, and visible minorities.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
