About the Role
This position involves delivering Intellect Care, a counselling and psychotherapy service designed to help people work through personal, social, and psychological concerns. Counselling focuses on practical tools and techniques that support mental well-being, while psychotherapy addresses deeper patterns in thoughts and behaviours that may affect day-to-day functioning and quality of life. Sessions are typically up to 50 minutes long.
You will join a collaborative group of clinical psychologists and counsellors working to make quality mental health support more accessible. The role is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and is fully onsite.
Key Duties
- Provide in-person mental health counselling to employees of Intellect’s local clients in Saudi Arabia.
- Attend the client’s workplace for morning, evening, or overnight shifts depending on business needs.
- Work on rotating shifts when required, with any schedule changes communicated at least 30 days in advance.
- Run one-to-one sessions covering topics such as resilience, stress management, and available well-being resources.
- Facilitate group sessions focused on coping methods for stress and difficult information.
- Moderate peer support discussions that encourage shared experiences and mental well-being.
- Create and deliver workshops and group programmes that build awareness and resilience around mental health.
- Submit a monthly report on utilisation and participation.
- Work closely with Intellect’s internal clinical team and suggest ways to improve the programme and platform.
- Join a monthly one-hour check-in with the internal team during regular working hours in Singapore time (10 AM to 6 PM).
Working Arrangement
This is a 5-day onsite role. Candidates must be comfortable working evening shifts from 9 PM to 6 AM, subject to client approval. The engagement is a contract assignment that ends after 2 years. Supervision is required once every 2 months.
Requirements
Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Counselling. The role requires at least 3 years of clinical experience beyond what was completed during the master’s programme, along with a minimum of 500 supervised clinical hours outside the degree. Experience with trauma-informed therapeutic approaches is important, such as TF-CBT, EMDR, DBT for trauma survivors, or Somatic Experiencing. A valid clinical licence is required, or the candidate must be eligible for licensure in the country where they practise.
