Role Overview
The Construction Scheduler supports project execution by partnering with the Project Manager to build and maintain schedules that keep labor, materials, and timelines aligned so work is delivered on time. This position must be performed onsite in Aiken, South Carolina; remote work is not available.
The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and prior scheduling experience in commercial construction.
Key Duties
- Oversee workload allocation and track customer delivery milestones as well as installation progress.
- Work closely with Project Management, Leads, and Superintendents to develop, update, and maintain implementation calendars through project closeout.
- Spot schedule gaps or delays early and either resolve them or escalate them to Project Management.
- Prepare the information the Project Manager needs for weekly and monthly reporting.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Primavera P6.
- Prior scheduling background in commercial construction is required.
- Self-directed, upbeat, professional, and able to help drive process improvements with others.
- Strong commitment to company culture and mission when working with employees, vendors, customers, and partners.
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving, critical thinking, written communication, and oral presentations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documentation, including specifications, reporting, and quality standards.
- Comfortable learning and using company project management systems.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera and Microsoft Project.
- Experience serving as a customer-facing liaison between the client and the company.
- At least 3 years of scheduling experience in telecommunications or a related technical/construction environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Must meet company driving standards.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
- High school diploma or GED required.
