About the College
Parade College is part of Edmund Rice Education Australia, the national network of Catholic schools. The College is committed to helping young people develop into balanced, capable individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society. Within its energetic learning environment, students are supported to discover their strengths, pursue excellence, and grow in a holistic way.
As a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition, Parade College places strong emphasis on high-quality education and pastoral care. Established in 1871, it is Australia’s oldest Edmund Rice school and has a long-standing reputation for educational excellence. The College offers a broad range of curriculum pathways across academic, sporting, music, visual arts, and trade areas.
In 2025, Parade College’s VCE Vocational Major program became co-educational, welcoming full-time female enrolments for Year 11 for the first time. From Term 1 2025, the Preston campus expanded its offerings through a new Tertiary Pathways Program, which includes a second stream of the successful Sport Academy and a new Business Academy. These academies provide students with a tailored pathway that can lead directly into selected La Trobe University undergraduate courses after the two-year program.
The College values innovation, ongoing learning, and strong relationships across staff, students, and the wider community.
