Role overview
This remote contract position is focused on using Excel-driven analysis to support decisions and improve how data is used across the business. The assignment is aimed at helping train advanced AI systems with high-quality, real-world inputs. Prior AI experience is not necessary; strong subject matter knowledge is the main requirement.
What you'll do
- Use Microsoft Excel to dig into datasets and surface practical insights that can guide business decisions.
- Work with project stakeholders to clarify information needs and turn them into useful analytical outputs.
- Inspect, clean, and verify datasets so they remain accurate, consistent, and reliable.
- Create concise reports and visual summaries for both technical teams and non-technical audiences.
- Spot patterns, outliers, and improvement opportunities in complex data, and use those findings to support strategy.
- Keep detailed records of methods, results, and recommendations.
- Bring analytical expertise that strengthens data-led decision-making within the client team.
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience analyzing business data in Excel as the main working tool.
- Careful attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy in both processing and reporting.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills to explain findings effectively.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and contribute to shared business goals.
- Good command of Excel formulas, functions, and charting/visualization features.
- Skill in spotting data issues and applying corrections where needed.
- Comfort working in fast-moving, data-centric environments.
Preferred background
- Experience delivering data insights to cross-functional teams to support business planning.
- Practice presenting analysis results to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.
- Exposure to other analytics tools or business intelligence platforms is an advantage.
