About Plus Also Studios
Plus Also Studios is a creative technology team within Howatson+Company. The business helps clients make better use of technology and shift marketing spend toward the high-value strategic work that moves their organisations ahead. Its focus is on delivering stronger, more measurable results faster, with continuous optimisation built into the way it works.
Role overview
As a Data Analyst based in the Sydney or Melbourne office, you will convert raw information into practical business decisions. The role sits at the intersection of analytics, data engineering support, and strategic thinking, with responsibilities spanning visualisation, automation, and collaboration across teams. The tech environment includes Tableau, Python, BigQuery, and GCP, and success comes from connecting technical execution with commercial impact.
What you'll do
- Work with the Plus Also Studios team, as well as engineering, data, and media colleagues at H+Co, to shape data strategies for client work.
- Design and maintain measurement frameworks for assets created by Plus Also.
- Oversee ETL and ELT workflows so data moves reliably between systems, mainly within Tableau, BigQuery, and GCP, while occasionally working with Looker Studio, Power BI, Databricks, AWS, and Azure.
- Create dashboards and reporting outputs that make complicated information understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analyse data and automate tasks using Python and SQL, including tools and libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Review client data environments to find ways to improve performance and efficiency.
- Contribute to creative technology initiatives and ensure analytics are built into the work from the start.
What success looks like
- Your analysis regularly shapes decisions made by clients and internal teams.
- ETL and ELT pipelines operate smoothly, with dependable and accurate data movement across platforms.
- You can turn complex datasets into a clear narrative that works for audiences without a statistics background.
- People seek you out not only for figures, but also for the meaning behind them.
- You identify opportunities for data-led innovation before others do.
Experience and skills
You should bring roughly 3 to 4 years of experience in a data analyst position. Strong Tableau capability is important, along with solid SQL and Python skills. Practical experience with ETL/ELT workflows and cloud-based data platforms, especially BigQuery and GCP, is expected. Familiarity with other BI and cloud tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Databricks, AWS, and Azure will also help. Experience in an agency or client-facing setting is a plus, along with a proactive approach to spotting where data can create value.
About the team culture
Plus Also Studios describes its core value as care fiercely. That means bringing trust, humanity, and responsibility to the work, while acting with energy and intent. The team aims to leave things better than they found them, push the industry forward, and combine different disciplines to spark creativity and innovation. It values people who stay alert to uncertainty, look for new approaches, aim to exceed expectations, and contribute positively to the culture.
Equal opportunity and adjustments
Plus Also Studios is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. Applications are welcome from all people regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, pregnancy or related medical conditions, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, disability, or other legally protected characteristics.
